In a number of parts of the world, it is common for special moments and celebrations to be marked by gunfire. However, when you are doing this it also makes sense that you will be putting yourself, or others, in some kind of danger as the risk of something going wrong is very high.
One example of this would be a wedding that took place in the European country of Serbia in 2003. At the wedding, there was celebratory gunfire at the end of the service, but on this occasion it was not the people at the wedding that would end up being the unfortunate ones.
As it turns out, at the time of the gunfire being shot into the air, a small private plane was flying overhead. The gunfire hit the plane causing it to fall out of the sky and the two men that were on board were seriously injured as a result.
