People are aware of the fact that cocaine is a deadly drug that is sold through a series of clandestine meetings and often for a high price, but it has not always been that way. Instead, if you go back into the 19th century, then you will find that there were parts of the United States where it was actually being sold as one of the key cures for a number of different ailments and limitations.

The year was 1885, and a manufacturer in the United States was responsible for doing something that we now recognize as being the craziest thing that a company could do. They stated that their cocaine would do wonderful things for individuals, including making them feel brave and immune to pain. It was certainly something that appealed to so many people, but ultimately we discovered the true impact it has on individuals, which then meant that it was no longer as popular as the manufacturer had hoped it would be.
