It seems someone in Hong Kong wanted to cash in on the success Kentucky Fried Chicken (KFC) has had in the United States. In 2016, KFC in Hong Kong released a new innovation: edible nail polish. The nail polishes came in a several of colors and flavors, like a neutral color for original fried chicken, and burnt orange for hot and spicy. The bottles even had KFC’s famous tagline, “It’s Finger Lickin’ Good”, written on them. The nail polishes were made of edible ingredients, like spice blends and vegetable gum, and had to be refrigerated. Even refrigerated, the polishes only lasted for five days. KFC Hong Kong worked hard to promote the nail polish, which, if nothing else, got its fair share of publicity and intrigue.
