How often have you been in a swimming pool and you feel as if your eyes are just on fire? You will have also come to the conclusion that it is connected to the chlorine in the water and that, in a way, pacifies how we feel about it.
Well, the scary part is that it may not even be the case that those burning and stinging eyes is due to the chlorine. Instead, there are some scientists that believe it is connected to uric acid, which is created by people peeing in the pool and it then reacting with the chlorine.
