There are times where it can be rather surprising as to who has a certain fear when they seem to put across the complete opposite idea or are involved in an industry where it just would not make sense for them to have that phobia.
Take Brian Wilson, of the Beach Boys as a prime example. Back in the 1960’s they were one of the most popular and coolest bands around and they really caught onto a movement with their range of songs. They tied in with the laid-back beach and surfer culture and yet Brian had one major problem that went against the image that the band was trying to show.
It turns out that Brian Wilson actually has a very serious fear of water in general. The idea of trying to swim in the sea or surf would terrify him beyond belief. You have to admit that you would never expect one of the leads of one of the most popular bands of the time to have this exact fear.
