Taser guns have been carried by many law enforcement officers for years. In 1993, a unique system, AFID, was created to take Tasers to the next level. AFID, or anti-felon identification, tags look like colorful confetti that is fired from the Taser guns. In reality, these tiny tags have microscopic serial numbers. These numbers are used to help track where the “confetti” came from and who fired it. While not all Taser guns have this feature, it is becoming increasingly popular, as it prevents the misuse of Taser guns and allows for extra accountability.
