Everybody knows that the British love their tea, but then it is also interesting to find out the extent to which they seem to allow this hot drink to just take over their lives. It is estimated that on any given day in the UK that the Brits consume in the region of 165 million cups of tea, which is a crazy amount when you think about it.
To show how they love it so much, that figure is more than 20 times the daily amount that is consumed in the United States, which has several times the population. Of course, the US is known as being more of a coffee country, but even with that taken into consideration, it is still a huge amount of tea for one country to drink in a single day.
