As humans, we are very used to the concept of having a regional accent, and we can end up being pretty good at identifying them, at least those that are more common. However, we are not the only members of the animal kingdom that have this ability to speak with a regional accent.

Instead, certain species of whales also have this ability, and in particular the Caribbean sperm whale. It has been shown in studies that they do indeed have regional accents, and this has been identified by scientists as being completely different to sperm whales from other parts of the world.

It does then open up the possibility that even more animals actually have these regional accents than we are used to identifying, but at least we are not alone in this respect.
