You would imagine that trying to beat some kind of world record would be amazing but spare a thought for a British guy by the name of David Jones.
Back in 2010, he visited South Africa to set a new world record living in a room with 40 deadly snakes and stayed there for 121 days in order to set that record. This meant he sat there, would eat there, stay clean in there, and even sleep there with them although he did have people watching over him in case a snake got too close while he was asleep. The other amazing thing is that he had never even handled a snake before he got into this room with them, and he was sharing this room with some of the deadliest snakes in the entire world.
By the end of it, he had beaten the record by over 8 days, but it seems that there was a mistake and the Guinness world record authority failed to recognize his amazing feat. Now, considering he could have been bitten and died as a result, it has to count as one of the most annoying things to have ever happened to a human being, that you risked your life for months for no reason whatsoever.
