Any product has to be careful with what is promises the consumers or else they will end up finding themselves in court at some point trying to defend themselves. That is exactly what happened to the manufacturers of Red Bull back in 2015.

It seems that a man by the name of Benjamin Carethers took it upon himself to go ahead and sue Red Bull because he stated that he had been drinking it religiously for over a decade and yet he had not been able to grow wings or seen any improvement in his mental or physical ability. His case was inspired by their cartoon adverts that focus on those very things, so his argument was that they were stating that this could be possible if you consumed their product.

The crazy thing is that the company agreed to pay out money in compensation to anybody that could show they had bought the product over the previous decade and that had not grown wings. It meant a change in their slogan and disclaimers being put into place. This is indeed the perfect example of how a company can make a major and costly mistake with their advertising and marketing.
