Have you ever found yourself sitting there wondering why on earth moths and other night insects feel drawn to any light that you switch on in your room? It seems to be a rather strange phenomenon, but it may actually have a perfectly plausible explanation.

According to science, the theory is that all of those night insects make the mistake of your light source as being the moon. They would have used the moon, and still do, in order to navigate at night, but they clearly do not know the difference when they come across something that is artificial.

So, they are not being as stupid as you think but are merely trying to replicate what they do in nature, and yet it is us that is just confusing them by giving them all of these extra moons that they feel they need to use just in order to get around.
