The concept of having a duel to sort out your differences is something that we often believe to be in the past and during a time when this was really seen as being the manly way of sorting out an argument. In the civilized world, we like to think that those days are behind us and we have other methods that can be employed.

Well, that is true for everywhere other than Paraguay, where the idea of having a duel is still something that is allowed. There is no law against it, but there is one stipulation that both parties must stick to for it to then become a legal way of dealing with things.

So, what is this stipulation? Both parties have to be registered as a blood donor, so if one of them is indeed shot, then at least other people from elsewhere have the ability to benefit from it. Well, that does seem like a fair thing to ask.
