The last man who was able to walk on the moon went by the name of Gene Cernan. He did so as part of the mission of Apollo 17 back in 1972. As he was the last individual to step off the moon, it was at that point that he was able to make this claim.

However, before he left on his mission, he promised is daughter that he would put her initials on the moon. You have to admit that this would be some pretty cool claim to fame, and it was a promise that Cernan was indeed able to keep.

The best part of all of this is simply the fact that thanks to the atmosphere on the moon, the initials TDC are more than likely going to remain there for tens of thousands of years. That is what you call a time capsule, and you wonder what people in the future will think when they stumble across it.
