Match.com and Tinder are two of the most popular resources in online dating nowadays. Princeton Review is a premier tutoring and test preparation center. What do they all have in common? They were both previously owned by the same parent company, Match Group. When asked about why they would opt to get involved in both dating services and educational services, the group explained that there are quite a few similarities and core competencies between the two.

A statement released about the acquisition in Fall of 2015 detailed how Match.com, Tinder, and Princeton Review are all centered on strong user interface development, paid customer acquisition, and free basic features combined with paid premium features. The company organized their business into two categories: “dating” and “non-dating”.
