In mountainous areas and valleys, groups of people all over the world speak in whistles. There are over 70 different groups in the world who communicate through whistles the same way most other groups communicate with speech. Whistled tones are used because they are convenient for certain groups, as they can travel up to five miles in the proper conditions.
