Coyotes are pretty cool in their own way, but if you are a mouse then you might be in some trouble when you think that you are far enough away that they are simply unable to notice you.
As well as being able to move pretty fast, the coyote also has some supersonic hearing that just takes its ability to hunt prey up to an entirely new level. Thanks to their ability to sense movement, as well as the frequencies at which they can hear that completely wipe the floor with what us humans can do. It is known that a coyote would be able to pick up the sounds of a mouse moving under 1 foot of snow.
Just think about that for a second because it seems impossible to hear anything under that much snow and yet the coyote can pick up the movements of a mouse? Now you can see why you would be in trouble if you were that rodent as there is just literally no way to avoid getting their attention.
