We are all becoming used to reality TV shows that are based on conflict between the main ‘characters’ but it shows that this is what TV executives are really looking for when you check out something that happened with the channel, TLC.
The executives there had an idea to create another reality show that was focused on NASCAR wives. You can understand why when you look at it at face value, they have the money, the lifestyle, their husbands are famous and doing a cool job, it appears to tick all of the boxes.
However, there was a problem and it meant that they canceled filming and the series before it was even able to air one single episode. The problem was that the different wives that had been chosen actually got on well with one another, to such an extent that there was just no conflict. Considering they need conflict and drama to sell the series, it became apparent to the executives and producers that this was just not going to work as it was just full of happy people. It seems that they would have been able to get their own show if they had been more abusive to one another.
