When it comes to The Beatles, there are a whole host of iconic albums that covered their career, but perhaps one of their most famous was close to being named something completely different.

It turns out that the band had this idea of creating an album called ‘Everest’ after the mountain, but they really did not want to fly all the way to the base of Everest in order to have a few photographs taken, and computer graphics were not around at that time. So, what did they do in order to still get the album out?

Well, they decided that as they were quite lazy that they would call it after somewhere closer to home. This ultimately led to them basically walking out of their studio and taking a photograph in the street. That was the birth of the iconic album called ‘Abbey Road’ and, of course, the image that went with it has been replicated and viewed a countless number of times over the decades.

You have to admit that there would have been something missing about it if they had decided to fly all the way to Everest, as it just does not have the same ring to it. Perhaps fate was able to play a part that they just so happened to have a studio on the perfect road name for an album.
