Coming across a snake can be a horrific thing for a number of people as they are not exactly the most liked of animals. However, even though people are guilty of trying different methods in order to kill them, there is one case where the snake ended up having the last laugh.

An unnamed woman in Texas described seeing a large snake near her property and she decided that she simply did not want it to be there. Instead of calling a company to come and get it, she had the apparently bright idea to soak the snake in gasoline and set fire to it, which did seem like a perfectly reasonable way of dealing with the problem.

However, she did not take into account that the snake would not take too kindly to being set on fire and as soon as she lit the gasoline the snake slithered off at record speed and dove into a brush pile that was next to her home. Of course, this was not a good mixture and the burning snake ended up setting the brush pile on fire which, in turn, set her house on fire and burnt it to the ground.

In other words, even though the snake died, it was still able to get its revenge before it died. The moral of the story is to think of alternative methods for catching a snake rather than setting fire to it because you never know if it is going to go well or turn into a disaster such as this.
