Everybody knows that Avon is big business, but it seems that in Brazil it is far bigger than so many other things in life that you would like to think were more important. For example, it is estimated that there are around one million people selling Avon in Brazil, and that is more than the number of men and women that they have in both their army and navy combined.

In other words, it is clear that Avon products are deemed as being more important than looking after the safety and security of the entire country, but when you throw in the fact that Brazil is also one of the countries that spends the most on cosmetic surgery, then perhaps it is not such a big surprise as you would like to think.
