If you are honest with yourself, then there is a pretty good chance that you will admit to enjoying a nap. However, scientists have been able to work out the best time for us to go and have a short sleep as it is directly tied into our body clock and also something quite natural that happens to us.

They say that the best time for us to have a nap is between 1pm and 2:30pm, and that it has nothing to do with the length of time we have been awake by the time we get to that 90 minutes. Instead, the scientists argue that our body temperature takes a slight drop at those times, even though it is completely natural, and that drop in our body temperature makes us feel sleepy. Of course, it does then rise again quite quickly, but if you are feeling slightly drowsy and tired around that time, at least you now know the reason why.
