Produce that is grown in the world has a tendency to be found more in certain areas than others. This is entirely to do with the way in which they all require specific conditions in which to grow, and it is often difficult for each part of the world to be able to provide everything that a crop needs.

However, that is not entirely true, as there is one crop in particular that is perhaps able to be viewed as a global product, and it may not be what you expect.

The crop in question is corn, and it is able to be grown on every single continent with the exception of Antarctica, which is pretty easy to understand the reasons why, and it is certainly in abundance in each and every continent. Of course, there are different varieties that may only grow in certain areas, but at least some form of corn is able to be grown in pretty much every single country in the world, which is pretty impressive when you stop and think about it.
