There are times where an actor ends up playing a role that is too close to their own lives that it can kind of mask and dampen their ability to act to the standards that they expect. While this example is slightly different, it does show a twist of fate that could not have been predicted.
The actress, Sarah Jessica Parker landed the role of a witch who was actually convicted of being part of the Salem witch trials, for a movie called ‘Hocus Pocus’ that was produced by Disney. However, after she had finished filming the movie, she then discovered that she actually had an ancestor who had been called a witch during the Salem witch trials and had then been convicted. This is certainly a case of artistry copying real life for her.
