One of Queen Elizabeth’s footmen had a popular party prank that got him into some deep trouble. Matthew King was known for putting alcohol into the queen’s corgis’ food and water bowls. For what reason? He and the other staffers found it amusing to watch the dogs become tipsy. According to sources, the dogs’ drinks of choice were gin and whisky. When the queen’s staffers found out, King was quickly demoted and given a pay cut. The queen was always away from Buckingham Palace when the pooches were given alcohol.
