Issac Newton was responsible for making a number of scientific discoveries. It seems that he did have a habit of pushing things a bit too far, as can be seen by one experiment that he is known to have carried out on himself.
Newton had worked on a number of theories regarding optics, so he wanted to check out a few things that were playing on his mind. So, he is believed to have taken a needle and pushed it under his eyeball and continued to push it until it reached the back of his eyeball. All of this in the name of science.
You must admit that this is just crazy and the pain that he experienced would have been unbearable. We do have a lot of things to thank him for so perhaps we should just allow this moment of absolute madness.
