You have to admit that there is something extremely annoying about a broken photocopier. Of course, machinery and equipment are going to break at some point, but the surprising thing about the photocopier is the way in which they tend to break.
You would like to think that it was due to the number of components that are required in order to pull the machine together and to get it to do what you want, and that does account for some of it. However, worldwide it is estimated that 1 in 4 call-outs to a broken photocopier is as a direct result of an individual deciding that they want to sit on the machine and take a copy of their butt.
Yes, that does not just refer to those individuals that think it is a cool thing to do at an office party. It seems that this particular act is far more common than we realized and people are apparently doing it pretty much all of the time. Of course, it can then go wrong in some instances leading to it breaking, but then it begs the question as to what they then go on to say in order to explain it away.
