When it comes to iconic bands, then the Beetles have to be up there as being one of the more famous to have ever been in the music industry. Ultimately, their members have been commemorated in a variety of ways over the years, but it seems that a rather cruel twist of fate was able to befall one of the ways in recent years.

Back in 2014, it was discovered that a tree that had been dedicated to George Harrison had been ravaged by a rather rampant type of beetle. In fact, it was so bad that the inner part of the tree had become completely hollow as it was that bad an infestation. Ultimately, they had to replace the tree with another one that was resistant to all kinds of bugs in the hope that it will never happen again.
