How would you like to live in a village where there are no roads? Of course, you will probably be imagining roads in the normal sense and then believing that there would be dirt roads or something else to replace them, but that is not the case.
To get a better understanding, we can look at a village in the Netherlands by the name of Giethoorn because this place is going to be pretty unique.
The village is picturesque, but the way in which the different homes are linked together is completely different to what you may expect to see. Instead of roads, the homes are linked together via a series of canals and footbridges, so there are no cars at all in the village. Of course, people can still arrive in their car, but they are left on the outskirts of the village free to walk around as they please.
